I had been a patient of Dr. Zafar for years. This year, I was informed by Melanie (Zafar's Office Mgr.) that I owed $600 due to my insurance company refusal to cover several visits which took place last year. To date, have never received an itemized bill detailing the charges and and dates submitted. I explained that I would have timely paid fir these visits had I been informed on a timely basis. However, because the bill had ballooned to $600 through no fault of my own, I ask that this portion of my bill be spread out over six months so that I could pay the same in full. Melanie refused. I asked to speak to Dr. Zafar but Melanie refused to allow me to offer a detailed explanation to Dr. Zafar firsthand. I explained that I needed my medication or would begin spiraling downward. Melanie had no empathy except for demanding payment in full. Because I haven't been able to speak to Dr. Zafar, my mental and emotional health has suffered greatly. I can honestly state that Melanie is the most unprofessional Office Manager I have ever encountered. Although I have requested detailed copies of my file, I haven't received them and am now forced to contemplate legal action. I want to make clear that Dr. Zafar's professional competence is beyond reproach and she helped me tremendously.

I have been a patient of Dr Zafar‘s for over 10 years. Her unequivocal understanding of my mental illnesses and her desire to help me overcome their devastating effects in all aspects of my personal, social, and Work life. Her and her staff i feel are committed to help me as an individual to succeed. She for myself doesn't pull any punches with me so to speak, i can and have trusted and relied on her honest opinion of situations that if i follow through have always worked out.. She doesn't believe in over medicating. Thats what i love about our interactions with each other. She works well w me by listening and drawing an educated conclusion on how to best help me. Thank you dr zafar and your staff for being such great mental health workers.
